Vanessa Finch graduated from Kingston University (LLB Hons. First Class) and the LSE (LLM with Distinction). She teaches in the Insolvency Law and Corporate Law sectors and was responsible for establishing at the LSE the first full undergraduate university course in Corporate Insolvency Law in the country. Her research focuses on issues of corporate governance, the modern company director and insolvency. Her book, Corporate Insolvency Law: Perspectives and Principles, is published in 2002 by Cambridge University Press. She has also published numerous articles in these areas and recent publications include: 'The Limited Liability Partnership: Mix and Match or Mix Up?' (2002) JBL (Sept.) (with Professor Judith Freedman, Oxford University); 'Public Interest Liquidation: PIL or Placebo?' (2002) Insolvency Lawyer 157; 'Is Pari Passu Passe?' (2000) Insolvency Lawyer 194; 'Security, Insolvency and Risk: Who Pays the Price?' (1999) MLR 633. She is a member of the Insolvency Lawyers' Academic Advisory Group, a member of the Society of Public Teachers of Law's Company Law Committee and she is on the Editorial Board of the Insolvency Lawyer.
